I once had dinner with someone but stopped talkin gto him he said he would only get one from a breeder or pet store. When I asked him why he said he thinks rescue dogs are 'scraggly' and people who buy/wear vintage are 'disgusted'. I don't have to tell you how that date ended. Rescue dogs are happy, loving, dedicated, loyal and exactly my cup of tea.
Ani here was rescued from a North Carolina KILL shelter. She was fostered in Syracus NY and here is her story...

Please do not support this man, he is a puppy peddler of the most sneakiest degree. Do some digging, the information is there to be had. Eric Gray of Smilin' Pit Bull Rescue is a manipulative, lying, puppy selling dirtbag.
His entire staff just walked out on him because they could no longer live with themselves enabling this seriously disturbed man.
Please do not support this rescue. spbr does not honor its foster agreements. He owes money to many people. He keeps the dogs stacked in crates in his basement 24/7. He burdens the fosters with too many dogs and does not reimburse them as promised. Please do your research on this man. He obtains pregnant momma dogs so he can sell the puppies and make money.
He is a hoarder and needs psychological help.
Eric and spbr did Not rescue this dog from the shelter in the south. The Foster Rescued and Paid for the vetting of this dog and brought her to her house. After which she begged Eric and his rescue to help out. His help was to take credit for the 'saving' of this dog and he is going to sell the puppies and keep the money while the foster gets nothing; even though he promised to pay her for her expenses. She also has another dog she pulled from down south that is sitting at a kennel, Eric promised to help with this dog, but he has Not. (must not be pregnant) He is a manipulator for his own financial gain.
Please remove MY puppies off your blog... I am the owner of Ani and will be homing my puppies on my own... I suggest that everyone do their homework before working with or adopting from any rescue... I wish I had!
