I loves me some celery and adore sweet peppers, and sometimes I love them with my rice. So I put 2 and 2 together... or 3 and 3... Whatever, I was feenin' for some fried rice, so I did the damn thing!

You know I had to have some craisins in there!

Ingredients :

• (12 oz.) container Cool Whip
• 3 doz. mini Chocolate Cupcakes, (see recipe, below)
• 72 mini chocolate chips
• 36 regular chocolate chips

Preparation :

• Fit a pastry bag with a plain round tip (or use a plastic bag with a corner snipped off). Fill bag with Cool Whip. Pipe cream into peaks on each cupcake.

• Position two mini chocolate chips as eyes and one regular chocolate chip as a mouth on each ghost, flat ends facing out. (Cupcakes may be refrigerated for up to 3 hours. Bring to room temperature before decorating.)

Fall Winter is the best time to go to the movies, get hot chocolate and do all sorts of cuddly things. I used to think that the movies were real life and somewhere, someone was really living like that. Now I realize that if you took a 2 hour snippet of my life, it too can be a movie. But life is about what happens in between the events, 5 seconds before the photo is taken and the quiet times when you are sitting alone. That is when you are face to face with this thing called life. All the noise, all the laughter, all the traffic, all the fears subside when you sit still and really examine what this is all about. Like I mentioned before, I love to read books on retirement, self help books, relationship books etc. It really gives you perspective. At the end of the day, what truly matters?

My Favorite 2 Minute Face

My Favorite 2 Minute Face

My two go-to products in a morning rush? Mascara and lipstick! I feel like a thick fringe gives any face that glam look without piling on lots of other product. I know nowadays everyone is always in a rush everywhere. People rushing to work, getting kids ready in the morning, going to school, whatever it is, no one really seems to have time to spare.

I have found my perfect 2 minute face that allows me to spend less time on my face so I can be out the door quicker (or stay in bed longer heehee :)). You can use foundation or a tinted moisturizer if you'd like but I tend to skip it in general unless I have a really uneven complexion that day. I have found that when I gradually ween my way off of using foundation, concealer, or anything of that nature on my skin, I seem to need it less. If you think about it, your skin has make up on it in a day more than the time you skin is bare. If you cut down or cut out the foundation your skin has time to breath and regenerate throughout the day without having make up sitting on top. Now foundation and whatnot is a definite must when i'm going to an important event so don't think I cut it out completely.

I like to use Covergirl's Lashblast in Very Black.

I usually apply at least 3 coats on top making sure I separate each lash well. If you want you can also curl your lashes before for an extra lift. Putting on a few extra coats won't hurt (as long as their not clumpy) because your lashes are making the statement on your face.

Then I like to use Revlon's lipstick in Mink

I recently received this lipstick in a Revlon twitter giveaway and I am in love with it! You can get different shades of brown depending on how much you apply. I usually put on a thin layer just to make my lips a slightly dark nude color. I like to put on a little bit of clear pink lipgloss on top to give it a little sheen. Any shade of tan or light brown goes well with the fall/winter season and will go perfectly with any outfit you choose.

Toronto, I am super super proud of you for coming out last night, and supporting the Women's Post for The Women of Baycrest Charity Fashion event. Everybody looked beautiful, and there was so much love in the room. It was a night full of laughter and great conversation, and I really want to thank everyone for being so lovely!

It was nice seeing you again Jylui! And great meeting you Angie!

Jacob loves toys more than he loves treats! I was so happy when I was walking East Village and found this Mighty Dog toys for him. 

They are tough toys made especially with big dogs in mind.  You should ask your local pet supply store for them by name. If you can't find them you can always get them online here.  The store I was at had the Linus the Lion, Lenny the Leopard and Wilburr McPaw the Polar Bear. Jacob chose Lenny.

It's so cute watching him play with the toy and pretend that it is his baby and carry it around when we go for walks. Right when I grab his leash to go outside, he runs to get Lenny to take him along. Adorable! As you can see, these toys are big for big dogs - the real chewers. But if you have a small dog that loves toys - they have a Jr collection for smaller mouths.

I was feenin' for some rice and peas... but I also wanted some curry rice. So I brought the two together, and mmm mmm mmm! So GOOD. I love making spice blends, so it was fun bringing my rice and peas spice blend and curry spice blend together. T'was a good move.

This was delicious. And the raisins? oh... my... gosh... the raisins. They just make everything extra tasty! The coconut milk offered a delicious delicateness that I simply couldn't put into words.
My rice and peas/curry rice craving was WELL satisfied.

Back in March, we talked about Bubble Gum Blue Lips. And now, on the tip of November, it's going mainstream to the point it's on the cover of Nippon Vogue.  First ALK's Toronto Fashion Week dynamite show models and now we got the blues for the hue. Really? 

If you don't want to invest your $$$ on a 'passing trend', you can always make your own.  You only need 2 things that you probably already have:


1. Vaseline

2. Blue eye shadow

Put the Vaseline on your lips, then pat with blue eye shadow, then rub your lips together - et voila!  Not that hard :)  Happy blue kissing.

I left cold rainy Toronto and went to Paris for a few hours last night... The vibe was warm and romantic, and the scent of Love, Chloe danced around in every room. The rooms were full of laughter and smiles, and everyone looked so beautiful. Butterflies of excitement invaded my tummy, as I explored the magnificent private residence; each room I walked into bringing forth several "ooohs" and "aaahhhhs".

I had such a great time meeting lots of new people, and reconnecting with others that I hadn't seen in quite some time. I could've spent my entire evening there; I was definitely quite sad when the night came to an end... my night in Paris was over.
