In all honesty, white is not my favorite colour to wear, so there isn't much 'white' going-on in my closet! I've been keeping my eyes open, but even to this moment, I haven't found much that peaks my interest... So, I'm heading out this afternoon in search for something to wear to Mr. Warner's All White Wear Affair but before hand I thought I'd play around with some ideal looks. xoxo

I can honestly say that watching the B.E.T awards this year gave me a feeling of pride... I can't say that I disliked any part of the program, I thought every artist that came out did so with everything in them and gave us an incredible show!
I'm not sure if I believed it, or if I just wanted to believe it, but Chris Brown's MJ breakdown (+ his new track 'Deuces') has won back some of my fandemonium... is that bad? I'm not sure... all I know is, I liked it!!! The entire MJ tribute itself was done beautifully, he lived as a performer and I was definitely entertained.

Crazy Nicki... what more is to say! The woman is ill!!! Putting aside the fact that she seems to be on every track that becomes a hit, lets discuss the way her I don't give a "#*$%" about what people say mentality makes her all the more appealing. Congrats on all three awards!

To this day, I can recall sitting in my Mum's basement bedroom, with all of her teenage friends while they would perform and perfect their renditions of Purple Rain & Raspberry Beret, complete with costume change... I was no older than 4 years old but word for word of (almost) every Prince's song has been imprinted in my mind from these experiences. Point out an individual born in the 80's or 90's that does not know at lease some lyrics to a Prince song... and so, this proves how deserving he is of the 2010 B.E.T Lifetime Achievement Award! Is it weird that I cried as I watched and listened to his acceptance speech? Either way, its how it went down and his talent and creativity is deserving of every tear shed... Prince = the un-aging BIZ!

Another artist who must be mentioned was the magnificently maternal Alicia Keys!!! Not only did she wear the hell out of that strapless purple dress and pink stilettos but YES, she DID crawl on the piano, and perform the heart out of Prince's 'Adore' in a tribute to his career.

Drake of course killed an incredible performance with Jeezy, Usher soaked seats when he performed 'There goes my baby" & there isn't much left to say about the attention grabbing performance of "My chick bad" by Luda. All in all, it was a great show and I wasn't even trying to miss a moment. Although unmentioned, there was a room FULL of incredible talent! The last thing I'll mention, and then leave this topic alone for a moment, are the new elements brought to the award show being the Rising Talent segments as well as Diddy's Afterparty Lounge, I thought these were innovative and great for some extra creativity and exposure!!! xoxo

One of the first stops in NYC we went to was Bumble and Bumble in the Meatpacking District.  A leader in hair care products and clever packaging and marketing - it was a privilege to get to see into their world. But first, we got breakfast.

Big Bambú is a growing and changing sculpture―a vast network of 5,000 interlocking 30- and 40-foot-long fresh-cut bamboo poles, lashed together with 50 miles of nylon rope. It will continue to be constructed throughout the duration of the exhibition. The first phase of the structure―measuring about 100 feet long, 50 feet wide, and 30 feet high―was completed by opening day, April 27. The artists and rock climbers are continuing to build up the eastern portion of the sculpture to an elevation of 50 feet. By summer, the western portion of the sculpture will be about 40 feet high. An internal footpath artery system grows along with the structure, facilitating its progress. The evolving state of the work is being documented by the artists in photographs and videos.

Sobeys (grocery store) had chicken breast for $3, and I was like YEAH? YEAH!

brown your chicken in some butter with garlic...

then cover with a lid and let cook on medium heat

get your spinach ready

begin the assembling...

I kinda wanted pizza but without all that tomato sauce... so I just used fresh tomato sprinkled with some oregano

giving you bottom and top, or top and bottom... however you wanna look at it :)

almost ready...

pop it in a preheated oven for 15 min

READY!

When I first moved on to my suburban street at 4 years old, my first friends (ever, in life) were of course Chelle & then there was Paul... how we've all managed to remain so tight is beyond me... but either way, we have!
With that said... Paul, and his friends, have entered an MTV contest and they are going HARD! The video below is the teaser pitch for their reality show, The Village!!! "MTV's first gay reality series" and I am soooo excited for them; its like The Hills, but in Church Street Village. I for one would LOVE to see the drama, and I know curious minds are bouncing sooo... become a fan on their fb page, give them your 'likes', and FOLLOW them on twitter!!!

HCB# 30: OneBun Tacos??? YES!

HCB# 30: OneBun Tacos??? YES!

I did my happy dance when I found these while grocery shopping! OneBun steppin' they're bread up!

I'm not a fan of bread cause I find the texture is just too i dunno... heavy, bready (is that even a word?), I dunno it's too much for me to handle in short. But I LOVE OneBuns cause they're light, GOOD FOR YOU, tasty, and not bready at all! OneBun Tacos? WHAT?! *doin the two-step*

So I was like, "hmmm how do I wanna eat my OneBun Taco?" playing around with a spice blend always gets my juices flowing... I needed to come up with something SIMPLE, EASY and TASTY! a lil cumin, some thyme...hot peppers?

For all my people that don't eat meat, sprinkle some of your spice blend over the tomatoes, and if you want you can drizzle a lil olive oil on top.  (optional) same ingredients so much variety! tomato avocado, tomato spinach, cheddar/mozzarella/ tomato etc...

...mmm goat cheese and cranberries are the perfect topping to a salad!

for my meat eaters, you know I got you!

Whatever it is that you prefer; remember, it's easy to prepare something simple and tasty with just a few ingredients!
